We are getting Married!

Our story began at CYI Ahavah East Legon. Contrary to what many people might expect, it wasn’t love at first sight. There wasn’t even a spark. We simply knew each other through church. A few casual greetings here and there, and that was about it.

Not long after, Love moved to Cape Coast to pursue her Master’s degree. Ironically, that’s when our friendship really began.

At the time, Love was the La Famille head at Ahavah East Legon, so she’d regularly reach out to those ministering during the Wednesday fellowship. Sam happened to be one of them. What started as simple messages to confirm schedules gradually turned into longer conversations. Before we knew it, we weren’t just talking about Wednesday nights anymore. We were talking about life, laughing together, checking in on each other, and becoming really good friends.

As our friendship grew, so did the support we gave each other. We walked through different seasons together, celebrated victories, navigated challenges, prayed for one another, and somehow became each other’s safe place.

Then one day, in the most Sam way possible, everything changed.

During a prayer, he accidentally let his feelings slip. It wasn’t rehearsed, it wasn’t planned, and it definitely wasn’t meant to come out that way, but it did. Looking back now, we can only laugh because that’s such a Sam thing to do.

Our journey since then hasn’t been perfect. We’ve grown, we’ve been stretched, and we’ve learned a lot about ourselves, each other, and God’s faithfulness. Through every season, we’ve continued choosing each other, and somehow, we’ve always found our way back to each other.

Last year, Sam asked the question that changed our lives forever.

Today, with grateful hearts, we’re so excited to begin our greatest adventure yet.
